Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules comes packaged in an elegant gold jar with a clear centre. Inside are individual tiny capsules. They look like little golden jewels. I love the look of them!
To use, simply twist the tab on the end of the gold capsule and it will open. You then just squeeze the serum onto hands and apply all over your cleansed face and neck. Although the instructions are to use one capsule per application, I find there is way too much serum to cover my face and neck. I ended up using the remaining serum on my decolletage and back of hands. Individual capsules keeps product fresh until each use. There is no waste or struggle in trying to get last bit of the product from the bottom of a bottle.
The serum has an oily texture which glides onto my skin smoothly and it’s fragrance free. However, it is a bit too oily for me as it makes my skin feeling greasy and uncomfortable. So, I use the capsules at night only. Although I like my makeup to have a dewy finish, I don’t want an oily look.
The ceramides are formulated to enhance the skin’s barrier repair function, increase hydration within the surface of the skin and supports the skin’s natural collagen for a firmer look. So, did the serum live up to the claims?
I have definitely seen an improvement in the appearance of my skin. My fine lines are less noticeable, my skin looks and feels hydrated and my skin was super soft to touch and so smooth. My skin was absolutely glowing! It even helped even out my oily tzone and made my pores look smaller.
The biggest downside is the hefty price tag but worth it, if you have the cash to splurge.
