When you exfoliate excessively, your skin becomes red, dry and flaky. The dermatologist advises exfoliating the skin 2 to 3 times a week.

Especially if it is mint or citrus oil. The product that contains ingredients such as Panthenol ( derivative of Vitamin B-5 derivative) is used as a lubricator. Also, products with ingredients such as Niacinamide and ceramide replenish the skin barrier.

Hydration

When your skin has enough moisture, it protects the skin barrier and also keeps the skin glowing. Use creams and lotions that have moisture providing ingredients such as glycerin, sorbitol and hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid increases the production of collagen in the skin that reduces fine lines and wrinkles. Moreover, it provides elasticity to the skin and makes us look young.

Lessening Inflammation

Many skincare products have a chemical that is harsh to the skin. In addition to that, over-exfoliation and retinol lead to skin conditions such as rosacea and eczema. To prevent these kinds of conditions, one must avoid these skin products. Also, skin products such as anti-acne cream and anti-ageing cream lead to inflammation of the skin. You can reduce the usage of these products. It is advisable to not use cleanser and toner with an astringent as they are harmful to your skin. Colloidal Oatmeal is a better alternative due to its calming effect on the skin.

The kind of food we consume reflects on our bodies. The dermatologist suggests including supplements such as essential fatty acid or Omega- 3 oil. These supplement increases the production of collagen in our body which makes our skin look healthy and glowy.

By balancing skin Ph

Ingredients such as sodium lauryl sulfate and salicylic acid are enemies to your skin. These ingredients cause redness, dryness and irritation. Not only that, they mess up the Ph level of your skin and also strip away the natural oil of the skin. So, whenever you are looking for a skin product always check these ingredients.
